20th March 17
Once again, Newton celebrated Saint Patrick’s Day. With the aim of promoting the international nature of the school and while getting to know the culture from other countries, we had Rory Byrne, who is the Consul of the Republic of Ireland in Alicante, as a guest. Our students welcomed him with readings of poetry and stories, videos, songs and popular dances from his country. Saint Patrick’s Day is a popular holiday which takes place every 17th of March and honours the death of Saint Patrick, the patron saint of Ireland. In many places around the world, people have celebrated the traditions on this day, such as dressing in green and attending parades.
Even at NewtonAir, we dressed in green on that day! If you have not listened to our podcasts, what are you waiting for? http://bit.ly/2nCRf3o
