The Red Planet was the star in our ‘Open Mobile Learning Day’
Newton carried out last week, for the second year, the ‘Open Mobile Learning Day’, organised for parents to get to know the learning projects, materials and methods students use. The activity featured the planet Mars as the main attraction. Maps, language coding, flag creation, musical themes and habitat design constituted some of the work that young learners exhibited in their stands.
The nicest moment of the day arrived when students, parents and teachers in Year 3 performed a fashion show with costumes related to space. Astronauts, aliens and planetary constellations enlightened the catwalk. There were also robotics and tridimensional printing workshops, two of the areas which are being most developed in this academic year.
“These actions strengthen the link between school and families, who get to know the areas of work and the resources their children have to progress with more motivation in their learning”.
