27th October 15
For the third year running, Laude Newton College pupils will be taking part in a Bookmark Exchange Project organised by the International Association of School Libraries.
October is the International School Libraries Month and Libraries become an open window from which children can see the world around them.
This year, our Y4, Y5, Y6 and Y8 pupils are getting to know more about Jamaica’s culture. Both schools are creating their own bookmarks which will then be exchanged. Pupils, teachers and parents are taking part in this nice project. It is very exciting to prepare or receive this special prize which crosses the world creating frienship links between both countries!
As an international school, we like to show our students the enriching variety of people, countries, lifestyles, etc. all around the world. Show your own identity and discover others’ identity from a respectful point of view, help pupils to become global citizens who are able to build a better and more peaceful world.
