The Newton Excellence Programme seeks the best pupil in the fourth year of Secondary Compulsory Education for the third year running.
30th June is the deadline for candidates to take part in the third edition of this programme, whose aim is to reward the best academic profile of the Alicante province.
For the third consecutive year, Laude Newton College is running its Excellence Programme, an initiative valued at 23,000€. The aim of this programme is to reward and support the best academic record. This is the third year this programme has been running, for which any pupil currently studying the 4th year of the Secondary Compulsory Education in Alicante, may apply. The winner will be able to study the Diploma Programme of the International Baccalaureate combined with the Spanish curriculum in our school. These studies are the perfect opportunity for high achieving pupils to form part of an attractive and innovative school which takes care of the academic progress of their students and which educates future worldwide citizens.
In the last two years, two girls were selected to take part in this programme due to their excellent academic records in Secondary. The first one was Claire García Ivorra, with an average mark of 9.78, while Patricia Martínez López was last year’s winner with an average mark of 9.79. Both girls have benefited from this reward, which covers any expenses including registration fee, tuition fees, examination fees, transport and meals during the two year programme.
Those pupils interested in taking part in the Excellence Programme this year should fill in the application form, which is available on our school’s website, no later than 30th June. You can also phone 966615333 or send an e-mail to email@example.com in order to get further information or to solve any queries.
Any pupil whose average mark in the last two years of the Secondary Compulsory Education is equal or higher than 8.5 and who can provide official certification of their knowledge of English, is invited to apply for this programme. In case of not being able to provide any certificate, an English test with the candidate will be organised. Candidates should also hand in a reference letter from their current class tutor. After checking that all necessary requirements have been fulfilled, Laude Newton College will arrange an appointment with the best six candidates for a second phase in which they will carry out an oral English test and a personal interview. The school Management team will publish the name of the pupil who has won this scholarship after 8th July.
Through our international programmes, we work hard in order to make our students aware of their responsibility towards society. The Management Team considers that the school has to closely work and collaborate with their community. This is the reason for this initiative, which enables access to an interesting project with the aim of providing future university candidates with the necessary tools, from an academic and personal point of view, to continue progressing in their education and improving their brilliant academic record.
